I have chickens hatching and my corn crop is in. We planted so much corn I think I will go into the ethanol fuel business.

A letter from my daughter.
Daddy, this is for you and I want you to know this.

Now that I am big and got my family I want you to know that I love you and everything about you I know we don’t have many years left together and I need you to know that I would never trade you. I mean I would never want any other father because you are more then a dad to me you are my hero and my life and friend. I want my kids to know how lucky I am to have some one like you in my life I want you to help your self and take care of your self, you are all I have got and I will be there for you. I just don’t want to lose you now or ever but I know when it is time he will take us, you know but I still need my daddy I mean I know when I was little I was always on your lap because you made me safe and God I don’t want to let that go when you dropped me and jess off every weekend I would watch you drive away and cry because when you were not around I was not safe I need you to be with me and let me be on your lap .. but I know that you never wanted me or Jessie to cry. I know that and I know that you do love me daddy I just want you to know that you are everything to me and I want to keep that for ever no matter what, I still am that little girl that needs to feel safe I don’t get to see you a lot now and as everyday goes by I don’t know when will be the last time I can see you I love you dad and I want you to know that.

My daughter Jamie Lynn has 3 children . two fine boys and a beautiful little girl.
I will post more photos of my grand children when their mother sends me more.
The other grandson is named Brian Miles And the girl is Hailey Nicole. Brian and Hailey are twins.
Jessie has no children but if she has a grandson for me someday we will name him Freddy.

My Guard dogs , they are in my silk pen, two photos of my mule Mad Jack and my silkie chicks , the house behind the mule is mine. The photo with the Ozark hills in the back ground is where the raccoon, opossums and coyotes roam.

I like to have a lot of replacement chickens on hand to replace my losses.

We have many predators surrounding our small farm.

After all the skunks, opossums, and coyotes need to eat and they come by to check out the menu here often.

The chicks are a dukes mixture of my heavy chickens , we have several bantam chickens that Judy takes care of and I have a flock of white silkies that my mother bought me this spring.

I had wanted these unusual chicks and twice bought silkies at a sale I attend at Huntsville Ar. The first purchase chicken turned out to be a rooster and I was there at a later date and 3 went up for bid. I ran that bid up to 9 dollars each before I got them then a friend ask me , why do you want 3 silkie roosters? It is difficult to tell a young silkie rooster esp. if I failed to wear my glasses.

To make a long story short my mother took pity on me and ordered 21 baby silkies for me from Cackle hatchery.

Now I have my silkies. We think we have 3 roosters and the remainder are pullets. Only time will tell.
